Student Government Association Collection, 1954-2013, Undated

While the Student Government at Appalachian State University dates back to 1939, the current Student Government Association was established in 1967 with the purpose communicating the concerns of students to the university administration and to promote the general welfare of the student body. The Student Government Association Records contain meeting agendas, governing constitution and activity materials, operating documents, VHS tapes, office files belonging to branches and groups of committees and councils, including memorabilia items within the election and campaign materials.

Office of the Chancellor - UNC General Administration Records, 1972-2002

These records contain administrative, meeting and correspondence files regarding the Office of the Chancellor at Appalachian State University (ASU) and their role as a reporting member to the President of the University of North Carolina (UNC) system of schools. ASU joined the UNC system in 1972, and Herbert Wey served as the first chancellor.
