Appalachian Studies Student Alliance Collection, 1999 - 2001

The Appalachian Studies Student Alliance Collection covers the development of the Appalachian Studies Student Alliance. Papers include fliers, e-mail print-outs, surveys, posters. It is a non-incorporated, unofficial student organization for Appalachian Studies undergraduates, graduates and alumnus at Appalachian State University. This collection contains correspondence and surveys regarding the attitudes of graduate students regarding Appalachian State University's Appalachian Studies program.

Young Democrats Student Organization Records, 1988-1992

The Young Democrats was an organization which promoted student activism in politics at Appalachian State University, and was most active in the mid to late 1980s. This collection contains material documenting the Young Democrats' convention activities.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA) Club Records, 2005-2007

The Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA) is a student organization at Appalachian State University and grew out of the former "BLGAAD" - Bisexual, Gays, Lesbians, and Allies Associated for Diversity. These records include photos, ephemera, and financial records for SAGA, dating 2005-2007.

Organization on the Status of Women Records, 1973-1989, Undated

The Organization on the Status of Women was created in 1973 and continued to support inquiry into issues concerning faculty women at Appalachian throughout the late 1980s. This collection is comprised of notebooks containing the minutes, reports, meeting notes, and other files regarding the organization activity.

Music and Art Club Records, 1946-1947

This collection includes one record book containing meeting minutes for the Music and Arts Club, dating 1946-1947. The Music and Arts Club at Appalachian State Teachers College appears to have operated for a short time, dating at least to 1946.

Men's Glee Club Records, 1980-1993

The Men's Glee Club was founded in 1962, by Robert Clinton Parker, then an undergraduate at ASTC. The Men's Glee Club Records is comprised of a single cassette tape from 1993 with 19 recordings from various appearances of the Men's Glee Club during the period 1980 to 1993. The cassette tape includes a label listing all songs, with dates, locations, soloists, and accompanists.

Library Science Club Papers, 1949-1978

This collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and photographs from the activities of the Library Science Club from 1949 through 1978.

Gamma Beta Phi Scrapbooks, 1981-1988

Gamma Beta Phi, a national honor society and service organization, has a local chapter at Appalachian State University. The various service projects completed by the ASU chapter are documented in these scrapbooks ranging in date from 1981-1988.

Data Processing and Management Association Records, 1990

The Data Processing Management Association was a student organization housed within the Walker College of Business. This collection contains a list of officers, a memo from the organization's president, a code of ethics, and a pamphlet on the undergraduate major in Information Systems.
