University Communications Records, 1920-2008

These materials contain records related to the Office of Public Affairs, formerly known as the News Bureau. They consist of faculty and staff biographical files, photographs and slides, press releases, audio-visual materials, correspondence, annual reports, and financial information.

Office of Cultural Affairs Records, 1975-1997

The Office of Cultural Affairs, in the Division of University Advancement, presents a variety of events and programs, including the Performing Arts Series, the Forum Series, concerts, plays, dance performances, and other arts performances. The Office of Cultural Affairs Records contain mostly administrative files between 1975 and 1997, including memoranda, correspondence, planning documents, use requests, information on artists and personnel, and budget documents, the bulk of which comes from the Office of Cultural Affairs: Department Heads Files, 1980-1997.

Division of University Advancement Records, 1911-2008

The Division of University Advancement at Appalachian State University supports and encourages the university's academic mission by engaging alumni and friends and the local community through news, special programming and direct contact. The University Advancement Records contain administrative, operating, fundraising, correspondence, historical and reporting documents, dating 1911-2008, with the bulk of the material dating 1991-1994.

Appalachian State University Foundation, Inc. Records, 1929-2008

The Appalachian State University Foundation, Inc. was chartered in November 1970 to begin and sustain a fund-raising program for ASU and supports the university by receiving and investing private funds to help further the institution's academic mission. The Appalachian State University Foundation, Inc. Records, dating 1929-2008, contain mostly financial statements and meeting minutes for the Foundation and its Board of Directors.

Office of Alumni Affairs Records, 1934-2002

Alumni Affairs facilitates engagement between the university and alumni via events, correspondence, mailings, reunions and fundraising. These records contain a wide variety of materials including memoranda, brochures, correspondence, articles, minutes, scholarship information, event planning documents, expenses, schedules, photographs, and ephemeral material dating 1934-2002.
