Biographical/Historical Note

Marine Krepps was born October 1818 in West Virginia and died January 30, 1913 in Washington DC. He worked with the railroads and lived in Jefferson County, West Virginia. He was married to Margaret A. Krepps and had 8 children.

James Logie (1823-1897) was a physician in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. A physician, he was married to Mary Catharing Logie.

Scope and Contents

This one-page official summons from the Constable of Jefferson County, Virginia commands Marine Krepps to appear in the office of the Justice of Peace at the Mayor's Office on September 1, 1854 to answer to James Logie for a debt of $4.00.
