Biographical/Historical Note

Annie Carver Vasseur Ivey (1884-1966) was born in Staunton, Virginia and lived in Hickory, North Carolina many years. Married to Eugene Claywell Ivey in 1911, she had three daughters.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of Mrs. E.C. Ivey's personal diary of 1919. She lived in Lenoir, North Carolina at this time. Her diary chronicles her life experiences of her two daughters, husband, friends and neighbors from April to December 1919.
