Scope and Contents

Daniel Boone Family Genealogical Papers contain typed notes regarding the genealogy and experiences of Daniel Boone, original organization. It appears the source is Lyman Copeland Draper's manuscript. These notes are on computer punch cards. In March 2013 a paper "Contributions Towards a Boone Genealogy" possibly by H.E. Robinson, unknown date, was added to this collection. It was purchased in 1997 from an unknown source. It lists First through Fifth Generations in America.

This collection is open for use in the Dougherty Reading Room. An appointment for research is recommended. The Dougherty Reading Room is located on the 4th floor of Belk Library in Special Collections.

Provenance is unknown. The accesssion number for punch cards is MBD. This collection was opened to the public on 15 August 2002. On March 20, 2013, "Contributions Toward a Boone Genealogy" paper was added to this collection. It had been purchased from unknown source Jund 5, 1997. Its accession number is AC.2002.049.
