The Norfolk and Western Railroad formed during a 1870 merger and is now known as the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Access Restrictions

This collection is open for use in the Dougherty Reading Room without restrictions. An appointment for research is recommended. The Dougherty Reading Room is located on the 4th floor of Belk Library in Special Collections.

Acquisitions Information

The W.L. Eury Appalachian Collection acquired this collection from Bookworm and Silverfish c. 2000. The glass in the original wooden frame arrived damaged and photographs were removed from the frame. It was opened to the public in April, 2006.
