Biographical/Historical Note

Will McIntyre is a 1976 graduate of Western Carolina University and has received its Alumni Professional Achievement Award. He has served on the board of trustees of the American Society of Media Photographers and was a founder of its North Carolina chapter.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of six photographs of varying sizes of Old Salem, North Carolina, musicians, Milledgeville, Georgia and textile workers.

This collection is open for use in the Dougherty Reading Room. An appointment for research is recommended. The Dougherty Reading Room is located on the 4th floor of Belk Library in Special Collections.

Acquisitions Information

The photographs were acquired from Will McIntyre in 1981. The accession number is AC.2006.027. It was opened to the public in May 2006.
