Biographical/Historical Note

Little is known about Jack Reedy or James Wise. Jack Reedy's given name was Weldon Reedy, he played with the Smyth County Ramblers, the Hill Billies, and the Walker Mountain String Band in the 1920s.

Scope and Contents

The Jack Reedy and James Wise Posters collection consists of two Posters - 11 x 14 Jack Reedy Poster and 12 x 19 Jim Wise & Sole Experience Poster. These posters were scanned to a CD along with the back of one with a signature and date of 9/6/89.


There is no formal arrangement in this collection.

This collection is open for use in the Dougherty Reading Room. An appointment for research is recommended. The Dougherty Reading Room is located on the 4th floor of Belk Library in Special Collections.
