This collection consists of three laminated pages of land sales and information about Lincolnton Academy, in Lincoln County, North Carolina. They are dated 1832, 1869 and 1872.

Biographical/Historical Note

The page on Lincolnton Academy states it is/was "a classical school" and tuition is posted for Latin and Greek languages studies, as well as English grammar, Geography, and Arithmetic. The teacher is George W. Morrow, and he has several recommendations from William J. Bingham and faculty of Chapel-Hill. It is dated January 18, 1834. It was printed by Western Carolinian Office, Salisbury, North Carolina.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains three laminated pages. One descibes Lincolnton Academy, tuition and recommendations, dated 1834. One is an announcement for a Land Sale for the heirs of Daniel Jacobs in Loncolnton, North Carolina, dated 1869. The third is a Notice for a Commissioner's Land Sale at the residence of the late Major Hull in Lincoln County, North Carolina, dated 1872.
