Biographical/Historical Note

The Watauga County Bank, Boone, North Carolina, was organized in 1904 with $10,000 capital. This was increased in 1908 to $12,000, in 1914 to $16,800 and in 1915 to $17,000. It never declared a dividend of less that twelve per cent since George P. Hagaman became cashier, and once declared eighteen per cent.

This collection consists of one Certificate of Deposit from the Watauga County Bank. Depositor was I.J. Bingham for $900, dated July 11, 1932. Cashier was G.P. Hagaman.
