Scope and Contents

All the ribbons are for cotillions at the Greenbrier White Sulphur Springs resort in West Virginia, for the years 1901 to 1903. Some names printed on them include: University of Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair, Miss Castleman, Mrs. Dorr, Miss Dulany, Miss Christian, Miss Reinhart, Mrs. John Skelton Williams, Green's Band and Orchestra, Mr. F. Berger Moran, Mr. and Mrs. Heisen, and Miss Heisen. The ribbons are faded now, and little worn and tattered, but are reminders of a gentler and more genteel time of history.
