Biographical/Historical Note

The Ferguson & Company had a very close relationship with the Carver Wagon Works of Morristown, Tennessee. This company had been started by Oscar Reed Carver. The Carver wagon was considered one of the finest crafted farm wagons of the time. Most of the wood for the wagons was shipped to Morristown via rail from Ferguson. Then some of the finished wagons were sent back to Rockville to be sold by Ferguson.
