The receipts indicate also purchases and payments on the account. Bolling & Owens were Dealers in Dry Goods, Notions, Groceries and Canned Goods in Wytheville, Virginia. The W.H. Bolling listed as co-owner of Bolling & Owens is William Holcombe Bolling, father of Edith Bolling Wilson, wife of U.S. President Woodrow Wilson in 1915.
