Biographical/Historical Note

Nelson Slade Bond (1908-2006) was an American author who was a pioneer in early science fiction and fantasy. His published fiction is mostly short stories, appearing in pulp magazines in the 1930s and 1940s. The Marshall University Library received his personal papers in 2002 and created a replica of his home office in the library. His book, Other Worlds Than Ours, is a collection of science fiction short stories released in 2005 by Arkham House in an edition of approximately 2,000 copies.
