Biographical/Historical Note

Thomas Read (1897-1976) was a prosecuting attorney in Summers County, West Virginia, who loved to fish and hunt. These CDs contain several examples of his storytelling, according to Barbara Talman.

This collection contains three original CDs (all with the same content) of Tom Read's storytelling. Read was the prosecuting attornoy for Summers County, West Virginia. Stories relate to his life, particularly hunting and sporting events. User copies of the CDs are available.

This collection is open for use in the Dougherty Reading Room. An appointment for research is recommended. The Dougherty Reading Room is located on the 4th floor of Belk Library in Special Collections.
