Manuscript Collections

This collection includes a First-Day of Issue stamped and postmarked envelope marking the 100 years of West Virginia as a state. Postmarked June 20, 1963 in Wheeling, West Virginia with the special West Virginia Centennial stamp and pictureof the State Capitol in Charleston and the State Seal.

This collection of voter registration papers of the White Top Gap Precinct of Grayson County, Virginia contains the original ledger with dates 1901-1935, handwritten registration oath papers, and other letters to transfer.

This collection consists of one V-Fuel Oil Ration for fuel oil, issued August 27, 1943, expiring Sept. 20, 1944 to John S. Unsetter of Jefferson, Ohio for 100 gallons of fuel oil.

The Young Democrats was an organization which promoted student activism in politics at Appalachian State University, and was most active in the mid to late 1980s. This collection contains material documenting the Young Democrats' convention activities.
