Manuscript Collections

This contains Public Notices, Probable Impact Statements, and Maps of the widening project. This project was for U.S. Highway 321 between Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina in February 1978.

The Watauga County, North Carolina Land Deeds contains 34 original deeds, all but three designated Watauga County, of land transactions within the extended family of the Hamptons in the 1800's and early 1900's, being part of the Hampton estate in 2004.

The Watauga Development Corporation of Elizabethton, Tennessee Ledgers collection consists of two ledgers full of monthly reports from the corporation to partners, reporting rental payments, stock and equipment inventories, and expenses between 1933 and 1935.
