The first Justice Residence Hall opened in 1920. Built of brick, the building contained forty-eight dorm rooms, as well as parlors and society halls. It was located on the southern side of campus and faced north. The dormitory could hold up to one-hundred students. A wooden annex was added in 1931 to hold an additional ninety students. It was demolished in _____ and replaced by the second Justice Residence Hall in 1952. The Annex was a two-story wooden structured built in 1931. It served as housing for approximately ninety men. It was located to the rear of the first Justice Residence Hall and was demolished in the 1950s. Jan. 1947 newspaper front page includes photo - caption states that it was the first brick men's dormitory. It was also unoccupied at that time but was standing on the "probably site of the anticipated dorimtory for men."
