Stock Car Racing Collection Items Exhibited at NASCAR Hall of Fame

The recently opened “Petty: Building a Family Legacy” exhibit at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC, features a number of items from the Richard Petty Collection in the ASU Library Stock Car Racing Collection (SCRC). Petty’s wife Lynda donated a large collection of materials documenting her husband’s career to the SCRC. Items loaned to the Hall include fan letters, media guides, and photographs. SCRC curator Suzanne Wise attended the opening reception and reports that many racing legends were present. She chatted with Richard and Kyle Petty, Donnie and Pat Allison, Winston Kelly, and many others.
