Hello, my name is London Fowler, from Charlotte, North Carolina. I joined the Special
Collections Research Center in January of this year, where I work as a Graduate Assistant on the
Public Services team. Prior to joining, I graduated from Appalachian State in the Fall of 2025
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
My Graduate program is the English Master of Arts with a concentration in Rhetoric and
Composition, through which I hope to become a professor of writing and literature. I am deeply
interested in the archival and research-centered work done within the Special Collections
Research Center, and look forward to the rest of this semester as I spend it serving in this
position. Outside of school and work, I am an avid hiker, a somewhat-talented cook, and a
longtime enthusiast of 1970s country and folk music.
