Scope:
This pathfinder is intended to be a guide to the Appalachian Rails and Railways Collection that exists within the closed collections of the W. L. Eury Appalachian Collection. The collection includes both primary and secondary sources concerning the railroad and rairoad industry in Appalachia. The railroad played a significant role in the development of Appalachia as it enabled and encouraged commerce, industry, and migration.
